| Physical Description | Paisley is a Betazed female with pale skin and large black irises. She wears her hair in a braid almost always. She wears glasses for reading. On duty, she is in her proper Gold uniform, but off duty, she is either in sweats/workout gear, or dresses of some kind. Occasionally, she wears jeans and t-shirts, but her job keeps her dirty and sweaty, so she likes to remind herself that she's a woman by dressing up. She has a few marks on her body- a scar on her left leg from a childhood bicycle accident, a tattoo of a butterfly above her left shoulder, and some scars from acne on her face. |

| Personal History | Thisbe's parents were both in the Starfleet. Her father, Esau, was an enlisted member- a combat engineer and her mother, Eena, was a nurse. She grew up on various ships and bases, starting with her birth on the USS Poseidon. She lived there for four years, before her father was transferred to Starbase 2. She lived there for three years, before her mother was transferred to the USS Mercy. Her father was killed in action when a transporter coupler exploded. She was only thirteen when they returned to Earth with her father's family, where she attended school. Her mother got a job teaching as a civilian at the Starfleet Academy, and they all lived thusly for five years, until Thisbe graduated high school. She immediately went into the Starfleet Academy, because she believed her father would've wanted her to. There, she studied Engineering. Her mother remarried, a retired Starfleet JAG officer by the name of Enzo Childers. At the Academy, she was an excellent student, fast moving up the ranks, and participating in sports and clubs. She was well-liked, and dated a few men, but no one special. She graduated with honors, and was quickly absorbed by some of the best ships in the Fleet. She had a bonded partner back on Betazed when she was growing up, but the both mutually agreed to part ways when he met a Human woman he was interested in, and Thisbe was dating a woman. One of the most pivotal parts of her career was a mission gone sideways, early in her career. She was the ACEO on the Issedon, and was already a Lieutenant. She had volunteered to go planet-side on a planet that was under Klingon control at the time to help evacuate civilians. She and her immediate partner, a security officer called Povis, were ambushed. She'd fired off her phaser at the same time that Povis did, and while Povis's phaser made contact with the Klingons, HERS made contact with Lt. Povis. He was seriously injured to the point of being medically discharged, and she was brought up on charges of attempted manslaughter and reckless behavior. She was "acquitted" of the manslaughter charge but found liable for reckless behavior with an enhancement of "conduct unbecoming", and lost rank, rate, and pay, AND spent a week in a brig. She's still mad about this. Further, she's slowly become disillusioned with the Federation, as she feels their Prime Directive is the wrong course of action, and that leaving people behind is inherently unjust. These things generally make her a bit hard to deal with sometimes, especially because she refuses to see a Counselor about it. Thisbe suffers from maladaptive behaviors, esp. when she's overtired. She tends to be a bit prickly to people "in charge"-she doesn't know why exactly. She also has low self-esteem and blames this on her ex-husband (the divorce was messy and difficult). She also has guilt because she blames herself for her fertility issues. In general, while she is a decent, smart officer, she tends to have trouble with personal relationships and suffers from a crises of faith. However, she also has a caring side to her that makes her a good friend and officer-while she might not think you're a great leader, she WILL save your life.
